OAS MSME Newsletter: ( January 2025):

This OAS MSME Newsletter is published by the Department of Economic Development of the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI). It is dedicated to measures recently announced by OAS Member States to drive the economic recovery of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The policy responses vary from country to country and are specific to the economic circumstances of each Member State. Given that every day produces new developments, this inventory is in no way exhaustive.

Country Policy Responses

Undersecretary of Business Development of Honduras visited Sercotec’s Santiago Business Development Center.

With the intention of knowing how Chile is strengthening the Ecosystem of Entrepreneurships, the Undersecretary of Business Development and Commerce of Honduras, Cinthya Arteaga, visited our institution and then toured the Business Development Center Sercotec Santiago. One of the fourteen that exist in the Metropolitan Region and where micro and small businesses receive technical advice and training at no cost.

Alajuela program supports 88 entrepreneurs to strengthen their business development

The Ministry of Economy, Industry and Commerce (MEIC), together with the Municipality of Alajuela, celebrated the graduation of the first stage of the Alajuela project 2024, a program designed to strengthen the business capacities of entrepreneurs of the Central Canton of Alajuela.
